A Maiden’s Journey
Sarah Campbell left her idyllic island in the South Pacific in a daring rescue. She hastily married the dashing captain, Nathan Shelby, (aka. Hassan Aziz) to avoid a life in captivity on the Barbary Coast. They fell deeply in love. With the perils of that adventure finally behind them, they sail to his home—England. They hope to enjoy their life together there. Little did either know that Sarah’s journey is far from over.
Sarah is eager to learn all she can about this confusing modern society. Nathan worries about how his friends and family will receive his gentle wife if they discover her exotic upbringing. He also fears that the Admiralty will order him back to war, leaving Sarah to navigate the treacherous waters of the complex English society on her own.
What will happen to his beautiful new wife if he is not present to guide her through the social minefield of Regency England? Nathan knows Sarah will struggle. He has no idea that her life will be in danger.

Sarah Campbell was reared by her widowed father and the caring people on a remote island in the South Pacific. She knew that the world was big. Her beloved father had told her so. He spent many years looking for a ship to them back to his homeland, Scotland. One finally arrived when Sarah was a young woman. Sarah's father trusted the French crew to take him home. He didn't know about Napoleon’s war, or the complex political fight over the waterways, or the profitable trade in exotic slaves.
On their journey, Sarah is captured and becomes the property of Naa’il Dhar, the Dey of Algiers, a powerful warlord. Only the fearless pirate Hassan Aziz could possibly intervene, but will he?
Before Sarah arrives in the harem, a pair of American cousins both beautiful and white, are present to Naa’il Dhar. The Dey covets that which is different, however in his cruelty he tests their loyalty to each other. Naa’il will have but a short time come to regret his actions.
Is Sarah destined to spend the rest of her life as concubine in a harem, or will she find a way to win her freedom?

Welcome to my website. I am Josanna Thompson and I am excited to share my South Seas Maiden series (formerly the Woman from Eden series) with you. The first in the series is A Maiden's Honor. The next installments, A Maiden's Journey and A Maiden's Dilemma were released in 2021. Both ebooks are available on Kindle.
In addition to the South Seas Maiden series, I tried my hand at writing a paranormal thriller short story. It turned into a killer story with an ending you'll never see coming. I'm proud to say that I released Dream Reaper on Amazon just rescently.

Dream Reaper

Her new life become perilous when her husband was called back to war almost the moment he returned to England after a long absence on the kings business. Sarah promises her husband that she will honor her wedding vows until the day she dies. However, circumstances beyond her control force her leave England. Sarah finds in unexpected new life in the West Indies.
Then she met her soulmate.
There, Sarah encounters Richard Quartermain, the Duke of Stoughton again. Sarah was impressed with Richard, as he was only man who treated her with kindness and was willing to help her learn the complicated ways of her new country. While in the West Indies, Sarah has much to teach Richard about the evils of slavery and the dangers of sugarcane harvesting.
Is Sarah strong enough to honor her promise to her absent husband? Or will she succumb to Richard Quartermain’s charms and become the harlot her British peers believe her to be?
